Icon of Antonina Gordey, who hid a Jewish child during WWII, even pretending to her husband that the child was her own. After the war she returned the child to her parents.
Antonina is painted in acrylic on a Loxley Gold box canvas and has two layers of varnish. It is signed on the reverse in pencil. All edges are painted and varnished.
